Key areas of discussion centre around <a href=\"https:\/\/cop30.br\/en\/action-agenda\">six themes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>1. Mitigation \u2013 Reducing greenhouse gas emissions<br \/>2. Adaptation \u2013 Building resilience to climate impacts<br \/>3. Finance \u2013 Mobilising funds for climate solutions<br \/>4. Technology \u2013 Sharing and developing clean tech<br \/>5. Capacity-building \u2013 Strengthening institutions and skills<br \/>6. Means of Implementation \u2013 Integrating all themes into real-world action.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key moments of COP30 is a global stock-take of the Paris Agreement, recognizing that current pledges will not meet the Agreement\u2019s ambitious goal. This is a key time for holding governments to account for their responses to the climate crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Other conversations will include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a push on climate finance, including grant-based financing and debt restructuring as well as support for nations most affected by the climate crisis<\/li>\n<li>consideration of biodiversity and forest conservation, with leadership from indigenous communities<\/li>\n<li>a focus on cities in the continuing energy transition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prayer<\/h2>\n<p><em>Ruach <\/em>is a biblical word which refers to God\u2019s breath \u2013 but it doesn\u2019t only mean breath in the sense of the air which expands and contracts a human being\u2019s lungs. <em>Ruach <\/em>is energy, life force, sustenance, existence.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s pray for an awareness of God\u2019s creating and energising <em>ruach <\/em>during COP30:<\/p>\n<p>God, Abba, we are living in a time of climate crisis.<br \/>Your <em>ruach <\/em>is in the air we breathe, the Earth we live on, the atmosphere we live in,<br \/>The plants, creatures we live amongst.<br \/>As COP30 progresses,<br \/>Breathe potential, <strong>breathe hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God, Christ, we are living in a time of disagreement and discontent.<br \/>Your <em>ruach <\/em>is in and between each of us \u2013 it is in our data, our thoughts,<br \/>Our words, our actions, our silences, our inaction.<br \/>As experts and politicians meet, discern and debate,<br \/>Breathe potential, <strong>breathe hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God, Spirit, we are living in a time of injustice and overwhelm.<br \/>Your <em>ruach <\/em>touches each person at COP, and each person not at COP.<br \/>We <em>all <\/em>have power, we can make a difference, together.<br \/>As we listen to your voice, the voices of scientists,<br \/>And of those most affected by climate change,<br \/>The groaning of creation itself\u2026 lead us into action.<br \/>Breathe potential, <strong>breathe hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>May it be so, <strong>Amen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For daily prayer suggestions throughout COP30, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cop-prayer.uk\/home\">visit COP Prayer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Campaigning Opportunities during COP30<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Global Day of Action \u2013 Saturday 15 November<\/h3>\n<p>Want to campaign around COP30?
